mistress de funk
snakeys resident and former bbc radio 1 host mistress de funk gives us a heads up on her top 10 for this month.

01 critical mass
01 kalimba - [geddes remix]
These 2 tracks have been my absolute favourites for a while now, amazing e.p, melodic loveliness, but with just enough of a baseline! Just wish people would stop smashing it so much before I come on so I actually get chance to play them!!!!
03.marc houle - what are you doing
Expect nothing other than strange and weird from the man who brought you Bay of Figs. Absolutely love this, wonky and sinister, peak time stuff!
4 . skootbot - raw garmonbozia
Every track on this e.p is outstanding. Been supporting this for a while, is a big favourite at Tribal Sessions@Sankeys. Been one of the most well received tracks ive been playing, great to start with, everyone really stands up and takes notice.
5. arnaud le texier & emmanuel ternois - here i am
love the quirky sax in this, its like something from a 1940's film! Works so well in the track, and is a definite go mental bit with the sax solo in the breakdown, vocals are a nice touch too!
6. shonky - coco feel & love shank
really old school feel to this track, and something really different from Shonky, a true testament to how versatile and talented he is as a producer. Gorgeous warm up tune.
7.peace division - hold it
Delicious baseline, great early doors track for a building set, trademark peace division! Proper funky ass tune!
8. radioslave - RJ
no comment necessary! really cool, understated, sexy track, really dark heavy base, not really a lot going on, but completely hypnotic! get under your skin music
9. greg belon - cezar [koletski & meindl remix]
this track has that lovely carnival sound, loads of carnival style percussion, which is so cool right now. Great teasing breakdown, top remix from 2 awesome producers.
10. steve lawler & alex tepper - doves
the Viva man can do no wrong right now, loving the direction his music has gone in. Phat phat phat baseline in this, sounds awesome super loud!
MISTRESS de funk - labyrinth is out on sound of acapulco in march.
