WRP002 - DADA LIFE

two of the biggest jokers you are ever likely to meet in dance music. we did try our very best to get some serious answers from these two - but like their music i suppose one would call them bananas. with a new album lurking just around the corner, our second podcast comes from fidget and electro heavyweights Dada Life.

word and rhythm have a quick word with dada life about this podcast.

W&R: How do you go about compiling your dj mixes ?

dada life : We buy loads of champagne and loads of bananas and then sit down in
the studio and enjoy life. Hopefully we also get inspiration enough to
chose fifteen banging tracks for a mixtape.

W&R: What's your technical setup for recording mixes?
ddl: Equipment? Just the usual stuff. The secret in the formula is probably
the bananas though.

w&R: Is there post-production after recording the mix? Could you explain?

ddl: We chain as many compressors we can find in order to make the mixtape
louder than mustard.

w&r: Do you do any additional podcasts? And if not where can our readers find more of your mixes?
ddl: We try to release one mix every month. Its a good ambition, but
unfortunately almost never happen. But there are still quite many at
www.dadalife.com.
