what do we think: hells frozen over. not a great compilation.
ive been a massive fan of gigolo records for the longest time. dj hell has a way of finding some of the strangest tracks ive ever heard. often dark, gloomy or just out there. and with his album around the corner i was over myself. but this gigolo collection was very very dissapointing at least for cd 1. the second cd offers some of those gems i know gigolo for.
popcorn is a superb track with a very effective and catchy moogy bass. back 2 black also offers some interesting moments. a spalsh of new wave fused with some sort of twisted church vibe.
i wanted to make myself like more of these tracks - even one of them. but i cant say much without sounding murderous. so i will leave it like this - hell is probably freezing over.
its a great collection of talent here, just not their best efforts.
shame.
