Josh wink
when a banana was just a banana
released: february 2009
label: ovum recordings
what we think: higher state of techo!
by kid dub

Some artists seem to get jaded after their second studio albums and although i havent really digested much of wink's stuff in the past, this is great. he is still in touch with the crowds of today. the album covers quite a bit of ground from acid to minimal and yet all blended together with such ease. we are talking about a techno dj who will drop disco tunes into his sets. winks open minded mentality comes across very subtle in this album. listening to the mix cd its a great vibe for just about anyhour. alot of the producers from winks day just arent letting themselves change and adopt new ways and this isnt how wink is at al. great album - superb tracks !
