This was just awesome. Ive not heard of the Subs or knew anything about them. Listening to this album was just like watching a movie you know nothing about and walk away from screaming “hell yea” deep inside you.
Right fro the beginning I get a feeling it’s gouing to be a good mix up of trashy electro, with some punk thrown in…and im right…but whats more is that there are some epic moments. Cleverly crafted melodies and dare I say almost classical-eqsue movmenets seems in between some very dirty grooves.
Some stand out tracks to mention include Kiss My Trance, My punk, In Cold Blood & a clever cover of The Produgy’s Breathe.
The highlight for me though was a track called Albatross. Hands up to the subs for this. This is one of the most impressive tracks I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. This is the most epic electro track ever written in my opinion. The sounds are large, fat and wide. Deep , dark & heavy. Yet the overall movement is one of stunning beauty. The use of slight pitch shifts to untune harmonies its nothing short of genius.
Over all I had this album on repeat 3 times before selecting my favourite tracks for a further listen. Can I say I enjoyed it ? Definitely.
